TSC Plans to Upgrade 200 Offices ahead of Mass Recruitments.
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) is planning to upgrade 200 offices located throughout the country as it gets ready for a significant teacher recruitment initiative.
This enhancement is intended to improve connectivity and strengthen digital infrastructure in order to support the commission’s operations and goals.
A tender notice reveals that TSC is seeking the supply and activation of internet connectivity for 200 subcounty offices.
Additionally, the TSC is arranging for the installation of local area networks at the Central Region Office, as well as at county offices in Homa Bay, Kericho, and Isiolo.
Furthermore, the improvements involve the installation, configuration, and activation of database server infrastructure to facilitate digital operations.
This step takes place amid continuous efforts to digitize teacher management systems, which include transfers and data collection.
These developments are in line with recent instructions requiring unemployed registered teachers to send their data to the TSC.
The upgrade is also being carried out in anticipation of mass recruitment, given that the government intends to hire 20,000 additional teachers by the end of 2026.
Improved digital infrastructure is anticipated to assist in the processing of recruitment applications.
Better connectivity and network systems are expected to improve data management, communication, and service delivery.
The upgrades are designed to ensure that the TSC’s systems can manage increased recruitment numbers and administrative workloads.
The tender notice indicates that submissions are due by April 21, suggesting a fast-tracked implementation of the planned upgrades, although no specific timeline has been provided.
