Ahead of the March intake, the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) has warned parents and students not to fall for fraud and false information.
The college emphasized in a notification on Tuesday, March 24, that all official correspondence must be sent to parents and guardians via approved channels.
Students and parents are urged to visit KMTC’s official social media profiles on Facebook, X, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and LinkedIn for up-to-date information.The College offers parents and guardians a system based on professionalism, accountability, and student welfare, guaranteeing that kids are in a secure and encouraging learning environment, according to KMTC.
“However, constant vigilance remains essential because this period often attracts scammers who exploit misinformation and urgency. KMTC emphasizes that all admissions and official procedures are handled exclusively through authorized channels,” it added.
Founded in 1927, the KMTC is the country’s largest institution for training healthcare professionals and operates under the Ministry of Health.
With 92 campuses and five satellite campuses nationwide, KMTC has emerged as one of the more lucrative institutions that scammers exploit to solicit money from prospective students.
KMTC’s CEO, Kelly Oluoch, has assured that the admission process is fully transparent and that no individual influences placement or services in exchange for money.
The college has assured that it has laid out a well organised process process that starts with document verification, then fee payment, and registration to ensure that the admission process is seamless.
“At KMTC, we are shaping the future of healthcare by equipping our graduates with the skills, values, and professionalism needed to serve with excellence both locally and globally,” Oluoch said.
The college released admission letters for both pre-service and in-service applicants on March 10.
The institution clarified that all admission letters are issued strictly through the official KMTC admissions portal and that applicants are not required to pay any money to access the documents.
“Applicants are strongly cautioned to beware of fraudsters who may take advantage of this situation by claiming they can help you access or secure admission letters for a fee,” KMTC noted.
