TSC Gives Teachers Guidelines on Data Submission.
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has instructed all registered teachers who are currently not employed by the Commission to refresh their personal and professional data through its online platform.
TSC on Tuesday, March 31, stated the effort was part of a nationwide initiative aimed at organizing records and enhancing planning within the education sector.
According to the Commission, the instruction aligned with Section 24 of the TSC Act of 2012, which requires it to maintain a thorough and current register of all teachers.

Through the data refresh, TSC aims to acquire accurate information that will assist in addressing staffing needs across the country and direct future recruitment and policy decisions.
“The TSC Act requires the Commission to keep a register containing the names and addresses of every registered teacher, their qualifications and other particulars,” the Commission stated.
“In line with this mandate, the Commission is undertaking a nationwide updating of data for registered teachers who are currently not employed by TSC,” it added.
Teachers participating in the exercise are required to provide refreshed details, including their academic and professional qualifications, subject combinations, areas of specialisation and level of training.

In its announcement, TSC assured the teachers that all submitted information will be managed in line with the Data Protection Act, ensuring confidentiality and data security.
The Commission directed the said group of teachers to access its official website: tsc.go.ke and update their profiles through the ‘Online Services’ section under the ‘Teacher Profile Update’ option.
Teachers seeking to submit their information were urged to do so before midnight on April 7, 2026.
“The purpose of this exercise is to update the existing records for effective teacher workforce planning, including establishing the demand and supply of qualified teachers to inform teacher recruitment and related policies,” TSC clarified.
TSC further clarified that the ongoing exercise was strictly for updating records and should not be mistaken for a recruitment process.
